09/26/2012 Update This was the second and final reading. The biggest changes included allowing 12 sq. ft. of temporary signage for every business. We also increased percentage of wall signage from 10% to 20%. Previously, directional signs were different depending on the type of business. We changed this so that the rules are the same for everyone. We changed garage sales from a limit of 3 to 6. We changed mobile signs to allow parking for lunch from 12-1, other than that, once they are parked they fall under temporary sign guidelines. We simplified the commercial/industrial and Highway commercial/industrial to combine them into one category. Kiosk signs (city directional signs usually seen at most major intersections) under the old ordinance did not allow businesses who paid to use the kiosk sign to place any additional signs within one mile of the sign. We eliminated the one mile restriction so that these businesses would have the same rights as others who are not advertising on the kiosk directional signs.
